About Obamacare Works
Thanks to the Affordable Care Act, 47 million women will have access to birth control, well-woman exams, and other preventive health services without co-pays. Over 3 million young adults can stay on their parents’ health insurance. Insurers will no longer be able to deny coverage to women who have been pregnant or survived domestic abuse.
And soon, nearly 12 million uninsured women aged 19-44 will be able to sign up for new, more affordable health insurance plans — many getting coverage for the very first time — all because of the new health care law.
From preventive care without co-pays to low-cost birth control, Obamacare is making a difference for women, men, and young people across the country.
But opponents of the law want to take this away — and they have no plans to replace it. They’re working to make it harder for women to get the care they need. That’s why it’s so important that we speak out, spread the word, and help make health insurance more affordable and access to health care available to everyone.
